Sickler is a proud affiliate to Welcome Blanket a company that raises awareness for refugees coming into the US and their organizations through handcrafted blankets. Handcrafters from all over the US, from experienced to beginners, are encouraged to sew with these kits and send them back Sickler.
We have taken part in the Welcome Blanket Project, an initiative that warmly welcomes immigrants into the USA through craft. We reuse discontinued fabric memo samples to build Sickler Welcome Blanket Kits. Sewers and crafters use our kits to create a cozy blanket by simply following the Welcome Blanket Kit Instructions. The completed quilts are then gifted to refugee families who have been granted asylum.
Our refugee resettlement partners working with asylum seekers who have been released from detention
